APPLICATION

NAME: Nickname or alias, just something to call you by
AGE: You must be 18+
CONTACT: AIM is most preferred, but feel free to list whatever you are most comfortable with. Google Talk, email, MSN, etc. You can create them just for this game if you prefer. Please state which method of contact you'd like added to the contact list.
TIME ZONE: So we know when to catch on you online
JOURNAL: the journal you plan on using for the game, if you've already created it

ROLEPLAYING HISTORY: No writing sample is required if you provide two links-- a link to a third person sample and a link to a first person sample. A link to a CDJ with all this info easily found is acceptable. Be warned! If the mods are unsure of your role playing history or your character concept needs elaboration, we reserve the right to ask you to go back and include a writing sample.

If you have never been in a game like this before, don't worry! Simply include a first and third person writing sample using the character you're applying for at the bottom.

CHARACTER NAME: Surnames are not a standard convention in this world. For this reason please be sure you do not duplicate a character name. However, surnames are frequently given in the form of a descriptive epithet. Example: the world's best shapeshifter goes by Mavin Manyshaped. Check our resources for help.

GENDER & SEXUALITY: Please note that bisexuality is the most common, though any sexuality is welcome (see rules for further explanation). Also note that transgendered or intersexed characters are also acceptable, provided they are handled well.

APPEARANCE: Height, build, clothing, mannerisms, birthmarks, scars, tattoos, etc. Include all that we can't see from a picture.

PB: Please be appropriate. Suicide girls/scenesters/very modern looking PBs etc probably will not fit well.

PERSONALITY:

STRENGTHS: These should not be merely personality quirks. Include advantages to talents or anything that strengthens them as a person. Balance them with weaknesses

WEAKNESSES: These should not be merely personality quirks. Include drawbacks to talents, fears, or anything that weakens them as a person. Balance them with strengths.

SKILLS & ABILITIES: Please be judicious with the powers and abilities of your characters. Include appropriate limitations and drawbacks.

HISTORY: Must be at least three paragraphs, including schooling, as well as how and when your character's talent developed (or didn't in the case of a pawn). Schooling begins at age five. If your character wasn't sentto school, please include why. Talents usually develop fully by age fifteen, but signs of it can show as young as ten. A fifteen year old still will not have full use of his/her talents. That comes with age and practice.

2. Make sure to post a copy of your application to your character journal if you haven't already and then run the friending button once you're added!

3. If you're into customizing your journal, the community rp_tutorials has some great tools for customizing your character journal including character profile layouts, user info layouts, and journal layouts.

4.Upload icons. A program for uploading icons can be found here and a website for doing it (as well as transferring icons from one account to another) can be found here. If you're having trouble with appropriate icons, don't forget to check our list of resources here!
